Cet appareil photographique pour plaques a un double tirage qui permet des photos rapprochées. Il a également un double décentrement (horizontal et vertical).
Il semble être le prédécesseur de l'Ideal 225 à qui il ressemble fortement.
Il pouvait être équipé d'un dos pour films ou pour film-packs. De nombreuses combinaisons objectif / obturateur existent pour cet appareil. Le modèle présenté ici, équipé d'un Tessar et d'un Compound, est un modèle haut de gamme.
