Le Ricoh Auto Half EF a les principales caractéristiques de l'Auto Half E mais il a un flash intégré et un retardateur.

L'Auto Half EF a 2 modes de fonctionnement : en automatique l'obturateur déclenche au 1/125 s et le diaphragme est contrôlé par la cellule sélénium, en manuel (pour le flash) l'obturateur déclenche au 1/30 s et le diaphragme doit être réglé manuellement en fonction de la distance du sujet.
